Retirement scheme
For permanent employees in Hong Kong, we offer a market leading Defined Contribution Scheme (DCS) under the HSBC Group Hong Kong Local Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme (LSRBS). Employer contributions vesting schedule applies, please refer to MyBenefits. On top of your basic contribution of 3%, you can make additional voluntary contributions - we'll also match these up to 2%. Our DCS can help you save more for retirement than the statutory Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) alternative.
For fixed term employees, we have an MPF scheme that offers an employer contribution of 7% of your base pay. For more information, including a comparison between HSBC LSRBS and MPF scheme, you can visit MyBenefits (check with your Recruitment Specialist for log on details).
Medical benefits and housing
We offer HealthPlus and/or Core Medical Plan to eligible employees. And, if you're eligible, our staff housing loan scheme could help you buy a property.
Refund of Rent
Please remember to submit your Refund of Rent application during your hire month if you have rented a property. Note that Refund of Rent would only take effect from the month that your application is submitted. If you have encountered any problems, please raise a case with HRDirect immediately.
