Logging on to Personal Internet Banking is a two-stage process. You will need your username and memorable answer to log on in addition to either a password or a Security Code from your Security Device / Mobile Security Key.
Depending on which mode you choose to log on, the Personal Internet Banking services available to you will be different. Generally, the Security Device / Mobile Security Key log on mode is considered more secure and will give you access to all Personal Internet Banking services.
Without Security Device / Mobile Security Key log on
To log on without Security Device / Mobile Security Key, you will need to enter your username, memorable answer and 3 random characters of your password.
For example, if your Password is Ab12Cd34 and you are asked to fill in the 4th, 6th and last characters, please fill '2' , 'd' & '4' in the input boxes.
How to register for without Security Device / Mobile Security Key log on mode
- Log on to Online Banking and select 'Log on & security settings' under 'My Profile' at the bottom of the page.
- Select 'change password' tab in 'Change personal security details'.
- Set up your password by following the instructions. An acknowledgement will be displayed when you have completed the set up successfully.

To use your Security Device / Mobile Security Key to log on, you will need to enter your username, memorable answer and the Security Code generated on your Security Device / Mobile Security Key.
