How to use the Wealth Shopping Cart

Continue building your investment portfolio – no matter where you are.

What's the Wealth Shopping Cart?

If you've discussed investment orders with our experts during your previous financial planning meeting – you don't need to revisit a physical branch to place an order! Simply authorise them to place these products in your Wealth Shopping Cart, and complete your investment order and build the portfolio of your choice – anytime, anywhere and at your own pace. 

Please note that these products will expire after 30 calendar days from the generation date, and you have to confirm your financial circumstances remain unchanged to proceed with the orders. 

Placing your order via HSBC HK App

Access the Wealth Shopping Cart via mobile banking and place your order in 6 simple steps.

Step 1. Select Wealth Shopping Cart on HSBC HK App

- Go to 'Investment' tab, and under 'Products and services', you'll find 'Wealth Shopping Cart'

Step 2. Select Investment Journey Note

- Select the Investment Journey Note that you'd like to review

- Select 'Buy' to proceed to reviewing relevant documents and order placement

Step 3. Select the products of your choice

- You may exclude the products that you don't want to subscribe to by ticking the top checkboxes.

- Select 'Review'

Step 4. Complete the instruction details of your product

- Select 'Complete the instruction details'

- Enter the investment account and amount for each product (investment amount can be equal to or lower than the planned amount)

- Select 'Save'

Step 5. Review declarations

- Review your order details – offering documents, product features and risk disclosures, fees and charges, relevant terms and conditions, and disclaimer – to proceed. 

- Select 'Confirm instruction'

Step 6. And, done!

- Your order is completed! We'll send your an SMS when it is executed. 

- You can now select 'Unit Trusts' on Investment tab to check your order.

Placing your order via HSBC Online Banking

In just 6 simple steps, you can place your order through the Wealth Shopping Cart using online banking.

Step 1. Select Wealth Shopping Cart on HSBC Online Banking

- Select 'Investments', then you will find 'Wealth Shopping Cart'

Step 2. Select Investment Journey Note

- Select the Investment Journey Note that you'd like to review

Step 3. Select 'Buy now' to proceed to reviewing relevant documents and order placement

Step 4. Fill in details of investment account and amount

- Enter the investment account and amount for each of the products. Tick the top checkbox to exclude products that you don't want to subscribe to

- Check 'Review instruction' to proceed

Step 5. Review the product details

- Read the fund offering documents and Investment Journey Note, and review and confirm the declarations by ticking the checkboxes

- Select 'Confirm' to place your order after you have read and understood the documents and declarations listed above

Step 6. You're done!

- In addition to the summary displayed after your order is completed, we'll send your an SMS when it is executed. You can select 'Check your order status' to check your investment order

Tips to use the Wealth Shopping Cart

  • Update Risk Profiling Questionnaire
    Ensure that your Risk Profiling Questionnaire and Vulnerable Customer status[@investment-vulnerable-customer] are updated to place your order successfully. Get in touch with our experts if there's a change in your financial circumstances.
  • Get in touch with our investment experts
    Reach out to our investment experts if you'd like to add or remove any product from your cart, or have any enquiries.
  • Select products based on risk rating
    You can select any discussed product that suits your risk appetite.
  • Complete the purchase within 30 days
    Your product selections will remain in the cart for up to 30 calendar days from the generation date provided that your financial circumstances remain unchanged.
